Someone commented that I’ve been rather quiet recently. There have been a lot of changes in my life this year so here’s a quick update.
I got a job (yay!) but it’s office-based (boo!). It wouldn’t be accurate to say I’ve settled down though. I haven’t spent more than 9 consecutive nights in one place yet this year and that was at Disney World. (Unfortunately, Disney World is not my new office.) And I’ve stayed in 11 different places (in 3 different countries) since I started work so, yes, I’m still nomadic.
However, I absolutely love my job so this was the right thing for me to do. I have a little bit more routine in my life and it’s a lot easier to hang out with friends (when we can coordinate our schedules).
So today I had brunch with a friend and then went for a long walk along the lake in glorious sunshine. (I’m sure we shouldn’t be having weather this good in March but, hey, I’m going to take advantage of it.)
Once I figure out some work/life balance, I will attempt to catch up on some blog posts. I may not be able to travel as much now but there is so much I haven’t told you about yet. And maybe now I will have to start living vicariously through past-me. (I think I’ve only visited 4 countries so far this year!)
For the blog itself, I don’t plan any changes – I’m so far behind with blog posts that I can spend years catching up. But I‘m going to try.
