With all the travel stuff I read and look at, Plitvice Lakes has been calling my name for a while. The pictures I’d seen were simply spectacular and I loved the images of the wooden walkways meandering their way round the lakes.
I had planned a proper stopover at Plitvice but all the messing around I did with my itinerary meant that I ended up going for only one day. But I was not disappointed.
Everything was simply breathtaking, there were so many spectacular lakes and waterfalls. I was especially taken by the color of the water. So clear, and beautiful, and green.

Bonus: I discovered I could justify eating Milka chocolate while I was in Croatia beacause it was named after a Croatian opera singer (who was also a big fan of Plitvice Lakes),
