I’m not a big fan of breakfast. I love mornings and I love breakfast foods but I do not enjoy eating first thing in the morning. This means that brunch is definitely a good meal for me (probably my second favorite after a good English Afternoon Tea because scones). And sometimes I even get to eat brunch with friends and be a sociable bunny.
Today’s brunch choice was Farm & Table, a locally owned restaurant with great values. We managed to get a table on the patio with some shade which meant that we did not bake in the New Mexican heat but could enjoy the clear blue skies and the views of the farm.
With its location in the North Valley, Farm & Table has a lovely rural feel whilst still being in Albuquerque. Being me, I was very excited by the farm equipment although I suppose the flowers and butterflies were nice to look at too.
Oh, and the food? Farm & Table has a seasonal menu using locally sourced ingredients. Everything was fresh and delicious. And we ate our veggies.
I’m heading off again in a couple of days so it was nice to have a chilled time, with good food and good company. (Good weather is pretty much a given in New Mexico (unless you plan to have a waterslide party, in which case the weather gods will kindly give you thunderstorms, but that was thankfully last weekend)). Next stop: Las Vegas for lots of fun and frolics that I am unfortunately not allowed to tell you about (what happens in Vegas always stays in Vegas).
That yellow and burgundy tractor looks like a dream! I’m also a huge brunch fan 🙂
And when brunch comes with sunshine and blue skies, life could be harder!
