Having tickets to two concerts on consecutive nights gave me the bonus of a free day in Zurich and the opportunity to see something new.
Pixel Zoo Ocean has been open since 2023 and is situated in a random part of Zurich so getting there was an adventure in itself. Thank heavens for good public transport! Situated in the wonderfully named Kirche auf der Egg, the experience consists of a 40-minute immersive film projected on the walls of the church. It’s an educational adventure that’s just beautiful to watch. The narration is in German but a helpful QR code provided me with the script in English.
I enjoyed the film so much that I watched it twice. And not just because I was sat on the most comfortable beanbag chair in the world. (There were pews as well but why would you?)
The Brad Paisley show last night was amazing, let’s see if James Blunt can beat Pixel Zoo Ocean.
