Seeing as how I was already in Blackpool, it was easy enough to take a tram to Fleetwood, a small coastal town on Morecambe Bay.
The tram goes all the way to the ferry but unfortunately when I visited the tide was out so I couldn’t catch a boat to Knott End. Gives me a reason to go back though.

So instead I went for a walk along the shore and through the Marine Gardens. Fleetwood has a completely different feel to Blackpool, much more chilled and I love it.

It is still the British Seaside though so there is an Amusement Arcade which kept me entertained for ages. And fish & chips with a cup of tea at the Ferry Cafe.
The Ferry Cafe also stocks Wallings ice cream which is some of the best ice cream in the world (I went for Sticky Toffee Pudding – yum!).

So I had a lovely relaxing day at the seaside and realized that it’s something I should do more often. Then it was off home on the top deck of a double decker, possibly the best way to travel.
